Father's Day Family Picnic Under the Tree
Coloring guide
Dad, mom and two kids sit together on a picnic blanket under a big leafy tree. The boy in front and the girl next to him each hold a sandwich, mom has a wide-brimmed sun hat with a flower, and dad leans in with a happy grin. In front of them you'll find a birthday cake with four lit candles, a plate of sandwiches, a bowl of strawberries, a bowl of grapes and apples, some bananas and a woven picnic basket. Butterflies flutter around, flowers fill the grass, and a fence, hills and a lake stretch out behind. It's a sweet free printable to hand a child on Father's Day. Bright reds for the strawberries and a sunny yellow for the bananas and candle flames would look great. Love this Father's Day coloring page? - 1Start with the big sky and background: color the sky, lake water, distant hills and bushes in light blue, medium blue and leaf green, leaving the fluffy cloud white.
- 2Fill the tree leaves in leaf green and the tree trunks in caramel brown, then add the fence, grass and flower stems in lime green.
- 3Color the picnic blanket in rose pink and soft pink, and the cake plate, fruit bowl and sandwich plate in pale pink and light blue.
- 4Paint the skin areas of the family in warm peach, then add dad's medium blue shirt, the boy's striped shirt with white areas left blank, and the woman's golden yellow hat.
- 5Color the hair in dark brown for dad and caramel brown for the woman and girl, then add the golden yellow dress and the fruit in bright red, lemon yellow and purple.
- 6Optional: Add a little light orange to the candle flames and cake middle, and leave the sandwich bread and the boy's white shirt blank for a fresh, bright look.
