A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big red areas: color the cab, arms, and foot panels with fire red, leaving the white outlines and the bumper edges untouched.
- 2Fill the legs and wheel panels with bright blue, then add navy blue to the darker side panels of the legs and feet.
- 3Color the windshield and the side glass with sky blue, and leave the eye whites and the small shine spots white.
- 4Add golden yellow to the siren lights, the headlights, the door panel, and the side arm panel, and use pale yellow for the left house wall.
- 5Fill the ladder with light gray and the bumpers and grille with medium gray, then add dark gray to the tires and hand details.
- 6Finish the background with leaf green bushes and trees, warm brown doors, and light gray road curbs; leave the sky and gap between the legs white. Optional: add a little darker shading along the lower edges of the red and blue parts for depth.
