Jellyfish Lineup With Five Patterned Bells

Coloring guide
Look closely and you'll see that no two bells match here. Five jellyfish drift across the scene, all with big sparkly eyes, rosy cheeks and a happy open-mouth smile. One bell is pointed with vertical stripes, one is round with polka dots, one is a smooth dome with a scalloped edge, one is ribbed with a dotted rim, and one has a ruffled, wavy top. Long wavy tentacles trail below each one, and small round bubbles of different sizes fill the water between them. Along the bottom, tall wavy seaweed stands on both sides with two small coral shapes and a sandy seafloor. Small hands can fill the big open bell areas, and the tentacles and bubbles give older kids finer details. Try purples, pinks and teals, using a different shade on each bell so every jellyfish gets noticed. Save it as a free PDF for class time or a rainy day. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the four big bells: color the top left jellyfish dome soft violet, the center dome sky blue, the bottom left dome baby pink, and the bottom right bell mint green.
- 2Color the top right dome tangerine orange, leaving a few round spots white, and add golden yellow dots on top of it.
- 3Fill the bell skirts and edges: lavender purple under the top left bell, golden yellow under the top right bell, sky blue under the center bell, hot pink dots on the pink bell, and turquoise along the bottom right bell edge.
- 4Add the tentacles: pale aqua for the center and bottom right tentacles, baby pink for the bottom left and left tentacles, and amber yellow with tangerine orange for the right side tentacles. Keep the thin outer tentacle lines white.
- 5Color the seaweed in leaf green and light green, and the coral in coral red. Use warm gray for the dark rock at the bottom.
- 6Optional: Leave the eyes, cheek shines and the bubbles white, and add a little light gray shading on the sides of the tentacles to make them look soft.
