Spain Countries Coloring Page: Flamenco Girl and Windmill
Coloring guide
Twirling in the middle of the page is a smiling girl in a ruffled flamenco dress, with an open folding fan held high in one hand and her other hand on her hip. She wears a big flower in her updo, large hoop earrings and little heeled dance shoes. Behind her, a string of four small flags with crests hangs between two tall poles, and a windmill stands on a rolling grassy hill, with bushes and small grass tufts up front. The tiered ruffled skirt and sleeves create lots of sections to color, so beginners and more patient colorers both have something to enjoy. Bright red on the dress and flower, plus yellow and red on the flags, fits the Spanish theme. Download and print this free page for a screen-free activity at home. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big dress in bright red, filling the skirt tiers, bodice and fan so the main shape pops.
- 2Color the hair chestnut brown and the face and arms peach skin, leaving the eye whites and teeth white.
- 3Fill the flower in the hair and the flag stripes with bright red and golden yellow, keeping the flag edges neat.
- 4Paint the sleeve ruffles and flag stripes golden yellow, then use grass green and lime green for the bushes and hills.
- 5Color the windmill roof orange red and its tower cream white, leaving the sky and windmill blades white.
- 6Optional: Add a little warm brown to the flagpoles and the windmill hub and small rocks for a finishing touch.
