Flower-within-a-Flower Daisy Mandala, Hard / Detailed but Friendly
Coloring guide
A friendly daisy face sits in the middle of this round mandala, with two round eyes, space for rosy cheeks and a small curved smile. Twelve rounded petals fan out around it inside a circle. Beyond that circle, eight large, wide petals sit inside a bold outer ring, so the whole thing looks like a flower within a flower. Thick lines and open shapes help little hands stay inside the lines, and older kids still get plenty of sections to fill. Sunny yellow suits the center face. After that you could alternate pink and orange on the small petals and use cool blues and purples on the big outer ones. It's a free printable for your collection. A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- golden yellow
- tangerine orange
- soft pink
- sky blue
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big outer petals around the edge, alternating tangerine orange and golden yellow so the colors mix evenly all the way around the circle.
- 2Fill the small gaps between the outer petals with golden yellow, adding a few tangerine orange ones near the bottom to keep the balance.
- 3Color the wide ring behind the flower in sky blue, working carefully around the petal edges.
- 4Fill the eight flower petals in soft pink, then color the round center face golden yellow, leaving the eye shines and the eyes' white highlights untouched.
- 5Finish by adding the black outlines and small details such as the smile and eyes, keeping the highlights white.
- 6Optional: Add a light second layer of the same colors in small back-and-forth strokes to give the petals and ring a soft, textured look.
