Garden Dog Digging Among the Tulips
Coloring guide
Happily digging in a patch of loose garden soil, this shaggy puppy has floppy ears, a big smile and its tongue hanging out, with dirt clumps flying up behind. The fluffy tail curls high while the front paws push into the mounded earth. Around the pup are blooming tulips in the lower left and down the right side, a little picket fence in the back, tufts of grass, and a watering can with a daisy on it in the bottom corner. A smiling butterfly flutters overhead along a dotted flight path. This free printable mixes fuzzy fur textures with bigger open shapes, so it works for kids who like detail and kids who prefer easy coloring. Warm golden-brown fur and red or pink tulips stand out well against green grass. Add this to your Dogs coloring page collection, alongside Dinosaurs and Frog.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the dog's fluffy body, tail, and ears in golden orange, leaving small spots of white for highlights.
- 2Fill the fence and the dog's light tan areas, then color the tulip leaves and grass in grass green and light green.
- 3Color the two big tulip flowers in tomato red and the back tulip in pink, then add the lavender purple tulip and the butterfly's wings in pink and lavender purple.
- 4Color the dirt mounds, clumps, and the ground under the dog in brown, and the watering can in sky blue.
- 5Finish with the dog's pink tongue, the watering can flower center in bright yellow, and the leftover grass and stems; keep the eye whites and flower petals white.
- 6Optional: add a little darker brown along the dog's shadowy side and under the watering can to give the picture some depth.
