Four SpongeBob figures share this page, and each one is in a different mood. At the top left, one jumps with both arms raised and a big toothy grin. On the right, another floats in mid-air with his hands behind his head and his mouth wide open in surprise, with three little lines above him to show the excitement. The biggest SpongeBob stands on the left, smiling and waving one arm high. A smaller one at the bottom right points an arm out to the side with a cheerful smile. Loose wavy lines and black splat-shaped flowers or sparkles in several sizes fill the spaces between them. Large shapes and bold outlines suit younger kids with chunky crayons. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big yellow SpongeBob in the lower left: color his main body, head, raised hand and arm with lemon yellow, leaving the eye whites and teeth white.
- 2Color the pair of shorts on the big SpongeBob with tan brown, and fill the upper-right and lower-right SpongeBobs with lemon yellow too.
- 3Use pale lime for the darker spots and shady edges on the sides of the big SpongeBob and the upper-right figure, keeping the holes light.
- 4Leave the eye whites, the white legs and the shirt collar uncolored so they stay bright white.
- 5Optional: Add a little pale lime on the bottom edges of the body to make the sponge look a bit more three-dimensional.
