Storybook Playtime Page for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Coloring guide
Four kids are playing together on top of a giant open book. At the top, a boy and a girl with a ponytail pass a little toy car back and forth. Below them, a girl in a headband kneels and holds hands with a curly-haired boy in a hoodie, who leans back with a big smile. Around them you'll spot a teddy bear in a bow tie, a striped ball, a toy block and a pyramid-shaped toy, with a few leafy plants at the edges. Outside the book, a table lamp stands on the left and a mug decorated with a heart sits on the right, all on a wooden floor. The sharing and hand-holding fit a Martin Luther King Jr. Day theme of friendship. Bright red for the toy car and warm brown for the teddy bear are a good start. - 3Fill the kids' clothes: royal blue for the boy's jeans and the girl's pants, sky blue for the boy's shirt, bright red for the boy's hoodie, lavender purple and hot pink for the girls' tops, and rose pink for the left girl's pants.
- 4Color the skin areas in skin peach, the hair in brown for the boys and marigold yellow for the left girl, and the right girl's ponytail in tangerine orange.
- 5Add the teddy bear in honey orange, the mug in cream with a bright red heart, and the toy car and blocks in bright red, marigold yellow and royal blue.
