Friendly Basket Character Full of Decorated Eggs

A round woven basket with a happy face sits in the middle of this page, with big sparkly eyes, tiny eyelashes, a little curved nose and a sweet smile. A braided handle arches over the top and a large bow with long ribbon tails is tied on one side. Three patterned eggs peek out of the basket, one with spots, one with zigzag and star-like lines, and one with jagged stripes. Two more eggs rest beside the basket at the bottom right, one with curved stripes and one with little hearts. The shapes are big and the lines are clean, so it works well for younger kids using crayons or chunky markers. Try giving each egg a different pattern of colors, then use the braided rim to practice staying inside the lines with two alternating shades. This printable page is a fun quiet activity for an Easter week.
