About two dozen rounded sprinkles sit on the icing, tilted every which way, so it looks fun and a bit random. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the big icing area on top of the donut with candy pink, leaving the center hole white.
- 2Color the outer edge and the ring around the hole with caramel brown, including the bumpy dough edge at the bottom and sides.
- 3Add the sprinkles one by one: use sky blue, grass green, cherry red, and lemon yellow for the bright ones, plus bright orange, burnt orange, violet, and mauve for the rest.
- 4Keep the center hole white so it looks like the donut is open in the middle.
- 5Optional: Add a slightly darker pink along the bottom edge of the icing to make the drip look a little richer.
