One giant chunky tractor tire takes up most of the page, with bold chevron-shaped treads around the edge and a round hub with six bolt holes in the center. At the top left you can see part of the cab, a window and a side mirror, with the fender curving over the wheel. A smiling butterfly with patterned wings flutters in the upper right corner. Down below, tufts of grass and three daisy-style flowers surround the base of the tire. Small hands will find the big open shapes easy, and older kids can dig into the tread pattern. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the big tire tread in slate gray, then use dark gray for the deepest shadowed grooves between the blocks.
- 2Fill the wheel rim and center hub with golden yellow, leaving the small bolt holes white.
- 3Color the tractor body and fender in bright red, and the darker edges and frame corners in brick red.
- 4Paint the window panes in sky blue and the side mirror in silver gray, keeping the small mirror highlight white.
- 5Give the butterfly lavender purple wings and add rose pink flowers on the right, with golden yellow centers and white petals on the left flower.
- 6Optional: add forest green stems and leaves and lime green grass at the bottom, keeping the background white.
