Gill Grunt Leaping with His Giant Anchor Harpoon Gun
Coloring guide
Gill Grunt, the fish-like Skylander, is frozen mid-leap while gripping a huge ornate harpoon launcher, its curved hook-shaped blade sweeping up and over his head. His name is written in bubbly outlined letters at the bottom. There's plenty to spot: a tall spiky fin on his head, frilly side fins, big round eyes, a wide grin with little fangs, and overlapping scales on his armor, arms and legs. He also has buckled straps, a barrel-shaped pack on his back, and flippers for feet. The weapon is covered in swirls, chevron stripes and a round glowing center. Deep ocean blues and teals suit the scales, and silver and gold on the weapon show off the engraved lines. No background is drawn, so kids can add water or bubbles if they want. A nice pick for fans who like scale-by-scale coloring. This fits right in with our Skylanders coloring pages — see also Plants vs. Zombies and Roblox.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big blue areas: fill the head, horns, arms, and body scales with sky blue, leaving the eye whites and teeth white.
- 2Color the chest scales, tail, and belly fins with ocean blue to add depth to the blue parts.
- 3Fill the anchor blade, the rings, and the stripes on the harpoon and shoulders with golden yellow, adding lemon yellow to the fin tips and eye rims.
- 4Color the vest, sleeves, and lower armor pieces with olive green, and the harpoon shaft and armor bands with medium gray.
- 5Add black to the pupils and the small details, and leave the mouth teeth and bright highlights white.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of ocean blue on the sides of the body and gray along the edges of the anchor for a bit of shading.
