Gingerbread Cookies Around a Christmas Tree Cookie

The star of this page is a big tree-shaped cookie with a star on top, wavy icing layers and round dots that look like ornaments. Three smiling gingerbread men gather around it, each in a bow tie with buttons down the front and wavy icing lines on the arms and legs. One stands at the upper left, one at the upper right and one at the bottom. Two smaller star-shaped cookies with icing borders sit on the left and right. All of it rests on a large round plate drawn as a circle behind the cookies. Outlines are clean and the shapes are easy to tell apart, so preschoolers can manage it while older kids who like fine detail will enjoy it too. Warm brown gingerbread men with red bow ties would look sweet, and a bright green tree cookie with white icing waves finishes it off. It's a free printable.
