This big-eyed baby owl sits on a leafy branch in a graduation cap with a dangling tassel, holding a rolled-up diploma tied with a bow in one wing. Round eyes, a small open beak and a cheerful smile make it look proud and happy. Scalloped feathers cover the chest, the wings end in chunky feather tips, and its feet grip the branch. Five little stars float around the cap and shoulders, and a few leaves sprout from each end of the branch. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the owl's face and round belly with cream, and keep the big eye whites, the small eye shine spots, and the diploma paper white.
- 2Fill the wings, the head feathers, the ear tufts, and the hand holding the diploma with warm brown.
- 3Color the graduation cap top and cap base royal blue, then use golden yellow for the tassel, its knot, the beak, the feet, and the stars.
- 4Color the bow and ribbon tails bright red and the tongue soft pink.
- 5Fill both leaves at the ends of the branch and the leaves on the left with leaf green, then color the branch warm brown.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker brown under the wings and a light touch of shading on the cream belly to make the owl look rounder.
