A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big areas: color the window panes sky blue and the trees outside leaf green, then fill the curtains at the top with cream.
- 2Next, color the wooden table, rolling pin, and shelves honey brown, and paint the kitchen cabinets and tiled backsplash pale green. Keep the kitchen wall cream.
- 3Fill the faces and hands with peach skin. Color grandma's blouse, sleeves, and shirt lavender purple, and the child's shirt bright blue. Leave the chef hat, the child's apron, and the fridge white.
- 4Color the cookie dough golden yellow and the star cookies golden yellow too, and give the dough edge a golden tan touch. Fill grandma's apron with pale yellow, leaving the flower shapes white, and color the baking tray and grandma's hair light gray.
- 5Add the details: tomato red jar and red bowl, royal blue bowl base, leaf green cup, and the bright yellow jar on the top shelf. Keep the flour in the bowl white.
- 6Optional: add a slightly darker shade of each color along the edges of the big shapes, like the dough, the apron, and the table, to give the picture a bit of depth.
