Little Grey Matter Crouching, a Ben 10 Alien
Coloring guide
Grey Matter crouches low with one long-fingered hand stretched out in front and the other resting near his knee. He has big round goggle-style eyes that look closed or sleepy, set in a wide, heart-shaped head. His zippered suit has a stripe down the middle and bands at the wrists, and his feet are flat and pointed. There's only the character on plain white, so kids have lots of room to add their own scenery. Bold lines and big shapes make this a good fit for younger children and for fans of the show. Soft gray or blue-gray skin with a black and white suit would look right, and bright green or yellow rings around the eyes will make them pop. A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- grass green
- denim blue
- sky blue
- golden yellow
- mint green
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the alien's skin: fill the face, both hands, both feet, the lower leg and the top of the head with grass green, leaving the big eye whites untouched.
- 2Color the blue outfit with denim blue: the torso, the left shoulder and the thigh, keeping the thin chest stripe and the neck collar white.
- 3Add mint green to the upper part of the head, just above the eyes, so the head looks lit from above.
- 4Fill the wrist bands on both arms with sky blue, then use golden yellow on the outer edges of both eye rims.
- 5Keep the eye whites, the chest stripe and the bright side patch on the right of the torso white, so they stand out as highlights.
- 6Optional: Add a few darker strokes of grass green along the edges of the hands and the face to give them a bit of depth.
