A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.

1. 1Fill Santa's big sack, hat top, coat, pants, gloves and raised fist with bright red, leaving the hat fur band and the white fur trims unpainted.
2. 2Color Santa's face, ears and the tongue-free skin area with peach, and fill the belt, both boots and their soles with charcoal gray.
3. 3Paint the belt buckle, both bow loops and bow knots, and the ribbon on the left gift with golden yellow.
4. 4Color the two left gift boxes with forest green, and the right gift box with sky blue, keeping the snow and white beard unpainted.
5. 5Fill the tongue with soft pink and add small touches of pale blue on the snow gap near the right boot.
6. 6Optional: Add light shading with a darker shade of red on the sack and coat folds to make Santa look more rounded.
