Red is tipped over on his side in the grass, glaring out from under thick, heavy eyebrows with his eyes half closed. Close by sits a small tower made of two wooden planks: one stands upright and a wider one lies across the top, forming a T. Both have cracks and wood grain lines drawn in. You'll also find two fluffy clouds overhead and little tufts of grass around the bird and the blocks. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the top wooden plank with orange, leaving the dark cracks as black lines.
- 2Color the lower wooden block and the small stone chip near the grass with slate gray.
- 3Color both clouds with sky blue, keeping the dark outlines clean.
- 4Fill the bird's head and the grass at the bottom and around the tufts with bright red and grass green, leaving the right grass tuft and the background white.
- 5Color the bird's belly and lower beak area with pale beige, the beak with golden yellow, and the cheek patch with charcoal gray, leaving the eye whites white.
- 6Optional: add a few light strokes of a darker shade on the planks and clouds to give them a little texture.
