Hoop Leap in a Full Split, Gymnastics Coloring Page
Coloring guide
Here a smiling young gymnast flies through the air in a full split leap. Her hair is in a neat bun, one hand holds a big round hoop high overhead, and her other arm reaches out to the side. Her sparkly leotard is decorated with dots and curved stripes, and soft slippers cover her pointed feet. A rectangular floor mat in simple outline sits below, as if she's right in the middle of a routine. The lines are clean and bold, mixing large open areas with small beaded details, so kids who like a bit of variety will enjoy it. Purple and pink work well for the leotard, and silver or gold on the dots adds some shine. Print this free page for a classroom project or a weekend craft. Kids who like Gymnastics coloring pages usually enjoy NHL / Hockey and Cheerleading too.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- peach skin
- light sky blue
- bright blue
- warm brown
- hot pink
- violet purple
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big gym mat: fill the inner mat area with light sky blue and the thick outer border with bright blue.
- 2Color the girl's skin, including her face, neck, both arms, both legs and feet, in peach skin, leaving the eye whites and smile highlights white.
- 3Fill her hair with warm brown, covering the bun, the top of the head and the side hair.
- 4Color the leotard in violet purple on the upper body and hips, then add hot pink swooping stripes across the middle and lower side.
- 5Leave the hoop white so it stands out, and keep the background empty.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading along the edges of the arms, legs and hair to make the drawing feel more rounded.
