Hand-in-Hand Twirl with Dora the Explorer and Boots
Coloring guide
Dora and Boots hold hands and spin around in a playful twirl. Dora has her bob haircut and a big smile, and she's in a short-sleeved shirt, shorts, bracelets, and sneakers with ruffled socks. Her backpack stays on her back as she leans into the swing. Boots hangs from her hands with his face tilted up, big boots on, and his long tail curls below him. Since there's no background, there's lots of white space for kids to draw their own scenery. Hot pink for Dora's shirt and warm brown for Boots with red boots make a cheerful pairing. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big brown hair areas on the left side of the head using dark brown, leaving the face unpainted for now.
- 2Fill Dora's face and arms with peach, and color her orange shorts and her legs with orange as well.
- 3Color Dora's shirt and the sleeve near her shoulder with hot pink, then add purple to the backpack at the top of her back.
- 4Paint Boots' blue pants with soft blue, his face and ears with baby pink, and his red boots with red.
- 5Add yellow to Boots' shirt, the sneakers and their soles, leaving the eye whites and the small highlights in the hands white.
- 6Optional: Add a darker shade of brown along the edges of the hair for a bit of depth, and finish with light gray on the sneaker soles.
