A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the owl's face and body: fill the round body and the lower belly feathers with light blue and sky blue, leaving the eye whites untouched.
- 2Color the wings and the side feathers with royal blue, then add bright blue to the bottom belly scallops for depth.
- 3Fill the cream feather ring around the eyes and the cheek feathers with cream, keeping the eye whites white.
- 4Color the eye rings, forehead crest, and the star shapes with golden yellow, and the beak with orange.
- 5Use brown for the tree branch and twig, and leaf green for all the leaves, leaving the small gap between the leaves white.
- 6Finish the moon with light yellow and pale yellow craters, then add a few small details, like the brow feathers in royal blue. Optional: Add a little extra royal blue to the bottom of the wings for shading.
