Baby Elephant Squirting a Water Fountain, Savanna Animals Page
Coloring guide
A baby elephant with a big grin stands in a grassy field, trunk lifted high, sending up a fountain that splashes into swirls and scattered droplets. It has large floppy ears, wide sparkling eyes with lashes, an open happy mouth, and a little tuft of hair on its head, plus a small tassel at the end of its tail. On the left you'll spot a flat-topped acacia tree. Low bushes, a faraway hill on the right, and a rock beside some grass tufts fill out the scene. Thick outlines and roomy shapes work well for preschoolers and early elementary kids. Soft blue suits the splashing water, gray or lavender the elephant, and bright greens the grass. It prints free with no sign-up. Add it to your Animals collection, right next to Puppies and Cats.

- soft blue-gray
- leaf green
- blush pink
- sky blue
- stone gray
- warm brown
- dark gray
- coral red
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the splash of water spray and the droplets at the top with sky blue, leaving the small droplet outlines white where they show.
- 2Color the elephant's body, head, legs, trunk and both big ears with soft blue-gray, keeping the toenails and eye shines white.
- 3Paint the acacia tree canopy, the bushes and the grass with leaf green, and color the tree trunk warm brown.
- 4Add blush pink to the inner part of the ears and the cheek, color the open mouth coral red, and fill the tail and the rocks with dark gray and stone gray.
- 5Leave the sky and the gap between tree branches white, then finish the rocks and the grass tufts on the ground.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes on the shady side of the body and under the rocks for depth.
