Ready to celebrate, this smiling cartoon snake has big sparkly eyes and wears a striped party hat with a fluffy pom-pom on top. It rises from a round coiled body with a curled tail, and a little forked tongue sticks out. Three balloons with wavy strings float nearby, and a wrapped gift box with a big bow sits at its side. The belly has simple bands, and the balloons and present are large enough that small hands can color them easily. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big green areas: color the snake's head, neck, and all the coil sections in grass green, leaving the bright yellow stripes for later.
- 2Fill the snake's body stripes, the tail band, and the coil bands in pale yellow, and use mustard yellow for the lower coil highlights.
- 3Color the gift box in sky blue and the bow and ribbon in bright red, leaving the bow loops and ribbon crossing the box clean.
- 4Add the balloons: make the left balloon bright red and the right balloon golden yellow, and keep the top balloon white. Leave small shine spots white on the balloons and the eyes.
- 5Color the party hat with stripes: use sky blue, golden yellow, light gray and bright red, then fill the pompom in golden yellow.
- 6Finish with the coral pink tongue and bright red mouth line. Optional: add a little darker shading under the coils to make them look rounder.
