Happy Bubble Faces Floating in the Ocean

Three big round bubbles with kawaii faces drift upward, each with sparkly eyes, a rosy open smile and a little shine mark on its glassy surface. Several plain bubbles float around them, from tiny circles to medium ones with curved highlights. Two clusters of wavy seaweed grow from small rounded rocks at the bottom, one on each side. Bold outlines and open spaces are friendly to preschoolers and early elementary kids still working on crayon control. Soft sky blue and pale purple suit the bubbles, and if you leave the highlight curves white they'll look shiny. Two shades of green work nicely for the seaweed. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color all the big and small bubbles with sky blue, leaving the shiny highlight spots white.
- 2Fill the tall seaweed strands on both sides with grass green, and add the lime green seaweed on the lower right.
- 3Color the rocks at the bottom of the seaweed with light gray.
- 4Add coral pink to the smiling mouths of the bubble faces.
- 5Optional: Add a little darker shading along the lower edges of the bubbles and seaweed to make them look rounder.
