Happy Bunny Hugging a Decorated Egg

Coloring guide
Sitting upright with two tall ears, big sparkly eyes, a small nose, long whiskers and an open-mouth smile, this cheerful bunny looks very pleased. In its arms is a large egg decorated with wavy zigzag lines, a row of little circles and curved stripes, so there are lots of sections to fill in. A fluffy round tail peeks out at the side, the feet are tucked out front, and a few tufts of grass sit in the bottom corners. Bold, clean outlines and generous open spaces make this a comfortable free printable for preschoolers and early elementary kids. Soft gray or light brown works for the bunny, with pink inside the ears. Then try bright purple, yellow and turquoise stripes on the egg so the pattern stands out. Kids who like Easter coloring pages usually enjoy Disney Easter and Fall too.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- caramel brown
- cream beige
- coral pink
- sky blue
- bright green
- golden yellow
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the bunny's body: color the big haunches, arms and tail in caramel brown, leaving the belly and feet unpainted for now.
- 2Fill the belly and the two big feet with cream beige, then color the inner ears and the tongue and nose in coral pink.
- 3Paint the top and bottom caps of the egg golden yellow, and fill the three zigzag bands in sky blue, keeping the eyes, the highlights and the grass white.
- 4Color the middle band of the egg bright green, then add the small coral pink dots across it.
- 5Optional: Add a little darker brown shading along the bottom of the haunches and arms to give the bunny some depth.
- 6Finish by checking that the eye whites, the grass tufts and the background are still white, then enjoy your cheerful bunny!
