Beach Dog in Sunglasses Building a Sandcastle
Coloring guide
Sitting on the sand in round sunglasses and a paw-print bandana, a fluffy, smiling dog sticks its tongue out happily. Next to it is a sandcastle with towers, a little flag and an arched doorway. To the left, a bucket decorated with a shell and a small shovel rest in the sand, and a starfish, seashells and a spiral snail shell are scattered along the bottom. A big striped beach umbrella shades the scene from above. In the background, waves roll toward shore, a sailboat floats on the water, birds fly past a sun with rays, and palm trees stand on a small hill. A bright turquoise bandana and a rainbow-striped umbrella would look fun. This free printable is great for kids who love dogs and summer days by the sea, with big spaces and small details to color. This fits right in with our Dogs coloring pages — see also Puppies and Cats.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big dog: fill the fluffy head, body, ears and legs with golden orange, leaving the paws a little lighter if you like.
- 2Color the beach umbrella: alternate lemon yellow, cherry red and ocean blue stripes, keeping the pole and edges as they are.
- 3Fill the sand and the castle with sandy beige, then add the chocolate brown castle door and the cherry red roofs and flag.
- 4Paint the sea and sky: sky blue and light blue waves, pale blue clouds, and leaf green and chocolate brown on the island, keeping the white foam and sailboat sail white.
- 5Add the details: ocean blue bandana with white paw prints left unfilled, charcoal gray glasses lenses inside white frames, rose pink tongue, and a shell pink seashell.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading on the dog's fur and under the umbrella to make the colors pop.
