Baby Sea Turtle and Dolphin Swimming as Friends
Coloring guide
A smiling dolphin curves over a cheerful baby sea turtle in this gentle underwater scene. The dolphin has a big open mouth, round sparkly eyes, a long snout, and a tail that sweeps down at the lower left. Below, the little turtle looks up with a wide grin, with a shell made of large panels and flippers dotted with small spots and circles. Round bubbles of different sizes float around both friends, and wavy strands of seaweed grow in the bottom corners. Big shapes and clear, bold outlines make it a good choice for preschoolers and early elementary kids who are still building pencil control. Soft sky blue or light gray works for the dolphin, and a leaf green shell helps the turtle stand apart. It's a free printable for kids and coloring fans of any age. Love this Dolphin coloring page? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the dolphin's body, dorsal fin, side fin and all the bubbles with sky blue, leaving the eye whites untouched.
- 2Fill the turtle's head, neck, flippers and snout with pale lime, then color the seaweed stalks grass green and the seaweed bottoms mint green.
- 3Color the turtle's shell plates with forest green, and the shell rim and belly edge with golden yellow.
- 4Add coral pink to the dolphin's open mouth and the turtle's smile, and add grass green spots on the turtle's flippers.
- 5Optional: Add a little darker shading along the bottom of the dolphin and the shell plates to make the colors pop.
