This sweet family scene has three smiling dolphins swimming close together. There's a large one on the left, another large one on the right, and a small baby tucked in the middle. All three have big round eyes, open happy mouths and curved flippers. Three wavy lines across the top show the water's surface, and small round bubbles of different sizes drift around the edges. The shapes are large and simple with clean, bold outlines, which suits preschoolers and early elementary kids still working on pencil control. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the three dolphins' main bodies in sky blue, covering the big dolphin on the left, the right dolphin, and the small dolphin in the middle, plus their tails.
- 2Fill the fins and flippers in sky blue as well, including the big dolphin's top fin and side flipper, the right dolphin's fins, and the small dolphin's fins.
- 3Color the light stripes on the bellies of the dolphins in pale blue, leaving the spaces around them smooth and even.
- 4Add the open mouths in coral pink, then leave the eye whites and small teeth white.
- 5Color the bubbles in sky blue, leaving some bubbles lightly filled and others left white for a bright, airy look.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker blue along the edges of the bodies to give the dolphins some depth, and leave the wave lines and background white.
