Bottlenose Dolphin Diving Head First Over Swirly Waves

Bottlenose Dolphin Diving Head First Over Swirly Waves coloring page

Coloring guide

A large bottlenose dolphin arcs through the air with its head tipped down, showing a small eye, a smiling mouth, and a long curved beak. Its pectoral fin sticks out below the body, and the tall dorsal fin and tail flukes are clearly outlined. A smaller dolphin, probably a calf, dives down beneath the big one, drawn with its own little fins and tail. Below them, the water is made of big rolling waves with spiral curls, plus a few small round whirls scattered through the foam. The lines are clean and the shapes are roomy, so it works well for kids who like larger spaces to fill in. Try blending two or three blues and greens inside the spirals so each curl looks like it has depth, then leave the dolphins in soft grays. This free page is also handy for a quick ocean animal lesson on mothers and calves.
