A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the lake: fill the water around the duckling, the boat and the lily pads with sky blue, and leave the small ripple lines white.
- 2Color the hills and the bushes in light green and deep green, then add leaf green to the reeds and the small lily leaves.
- 3Color the frog body and head in lime green, and fill its belly with pale yellow, keeping the eyes white with just a tiny dot of black for the pupils.
- 4Fill the rowboat with caramel brown on the outside and walnut brown on the inside, then color the paddle and oar handle in amber.
- 5Color the duckling in lemon yellow with an orange beak, and fill the lilies with pink and light pink, finishing the centers in golden yellow.
- 6Optional: add a darker shade of brown or green along the bottom of the boat and the lily pads to make them look more three-dimensional.
