Happy Puppy Meeting a Little Bird on a Stump
Coloring guide
A smiling puppy sits in the grass with floppy ears and a spotted muzzle, looking over at a small round bird perched on top of a tree stump. The bird has a tiny beak, a fluffy tuft of feathers on its head, and a wing with a few feather details. The stump shows growth rings on top and long bark lines down the side. Behind them, a curved tree trunk with a scalloped leafy branch reaches across the corner, and tufts of grass fill the ground around both animals. The big open shapes on the puppy are easy for small hands, while the feathers and stump rings give older kids something to work on. Try coloring the puppy in a favorite dog shade, then use light and dark browns on the stump so the rings stand out. It's also a nice starting point for talking about animal friends.
