Happy Sun and Clouds Words Page

Coloring guide
At the top of this page sits a round, cheerful sun with big sparkly eyes and an open, laughing mouth. Wavy, curled rays swirl out from it in every direction. Two small puffy clouds rest below, one on the left and one on the right, and the word SUN is written underneath in chunky, rounded bubble letters that little hands can fill in easily. With thick outlines and large open spaces, it's a good fit for preschoolers and early learners who are still working on staying inside the lines. It also suits a weather lesson or a first-words activity. Yellow for the face, orange for the rays and light blue for the clouds would look nice, and kids can choose any color they like for each letter. Print it at home to add to your growing pile of coloring sheets. More like this: explore the Words, Activity Sheets and Alphabet coloring page collections.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the sun face and the big letters S, U and N with golden yellow, leaving the small shiny spots on the S and the eye whites white.
- 2Color all the sun rays with warm orange, working around the round face so the edges stay neat.
- 3Color the two puffy clouds with sky blue.
- 4Fill the lower part of the open smile with coral pink, then add tomato red to the upper corners of the mouth.
- 5Optional: Add a little extra warm orange along the inner edges of the rays for a bit of depth.
