Turtle with a Little Backpack Strolling by Flowers | Adopt Me!
Coloring guide
A smiling baby turtle with big sparkly eyes walks along a grassy path, a little backpack strapped to its shell, glancing over its shoulder as if asking you to come along. Two big daisy-style flowers with leafy stems frame the scene, one at upper left and one on the right, while tufts of grass and oval stepping stones are scattered on the ground. The shell has large panels that are easy to color, and the backpack's flap, buckle and strap are just right for little hands. Bright green works for the turtle's skin, warm browns and oranges for the shell, and a bold red or blue for the backpack. This free printable is a good match for preschoolers and early elementary kids who like thick, clear outlines and simple, cheerful scenes. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the turtle's head, body, and both legs in lime green, leaving the eye whites and eye shines white.
- 2Color the shell rim, the outer shell plates, and the back in forest green, then fill the middle plates with lime green.
- 3Paint the three flowers: rose pink petals, lavender purple petals on the right flower, and lemon yellow centers, with grass green stems and leaves.
- 4Fill the backpack with sky blue and add bright blue straps, the flap, and the buckle. Color the belly lemon yellow.
- 5Add the pink tongue, the pale cream claws, and the warm brown puddles, then finish the grass in grass green.
- 6Optional: Add a slightly darker shade of each color along one side of the shell, legs, and petals for a bit of depth.
