Crystal Shell Baby Turtle with Sea Friends, a Steven Universe Page
Coloring guide
A smiling baby turtle paddles through shallow, rippling water, and a large faceted crystal grows out of the top of its patterned shell. That crystal is the fun twist here and gives it a Steven Universe feel. Nearby are a cheerful starfish with a sweet face, a little crab with both claws up, a scallop shell, a spiral seashell, pebbles, bubbles and wavy seaweed. Water splashes curl up in the background. Bold outlines and roomy shapes suit preschoolers and early elementary kids, and the small shell panels and spots give older kids more to do. Pink or purple would make the crystal stand out against a green shell, and you could add a bright orange starfish and a red crab. Save it as a free PDF for a classroom project or weekend craft. Fans of Steven Universe coloring pages often like Dog Man and Baby Shark as well.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- light green
- slate gray
- pale yellow
- emerald green
- amber orange
- lavender purple
- deep green
- sky blue
- tomato red
- lime green

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the turtle head, the front flippers and the shell's middle plates with light green, leaving the big eye whites and the small eye shines white.
- 2Color the large crystal on the shell using emerald green, deep green and lime green so each facet has its own shade.
- 3Paint the starfish and the bottom right conch shell amber orange, then give the crab its tomato red body and claws.
- 4Add the water splashes in sky blue, the seaweed in forest green, and the rocks in slate gray and light gray.
- 5Fill the purple corals with lavender purple, the scallop shells with violet purple, and the sand patches with pale yellow and butter yellow; leave the background white.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of emerald green on the shell edges and a touch of hot pink on the pebble coral for depth.
