Two balloons float side by side here, a happy heart and a smaller star. Both have big sparkly eyes, rosy cheeks and open smiles. Their strings meet in a tied bow, and the ribbon ends curl down in loose swirls. Each balloon has a shiny highlight mark near its edge, and small confetti pieces and tiny stars are scattered across the page. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the heart balloon with coral red, leaving the shiny highlight and the eye whites white.
- 2Fill the star balloon with golden yellow, keeping its bright shine and the eye whites white.
- 3Color the bow loops and both ribbon tails with sky blue, then fill the small center knot of the bow with pale aqua.
- 4Color the balloon knots: the heart's knot in coral red and the star's knot in golden yellow, then add baby pink to the heart and star smiles.
- 5Add the confetti strips in violet purple, coral red, leaf green and sky blue, and fill the small stars with golden yellow and pale aqua. Leave the background white.
- 6Optional: add light shading along one side of each balloon and ribbon with a slightly darker tone of the same color for extra depth.
