Heart and Star Magic from a Smiling Witch
Coloring guide
With one arm stretched out to the side and the other holding a star-tipped wand up high, this cheerful young witch in a big buckled pointed hat sends a swirling trail of hearts, stars and sparkles curling up beside her. She has long wavy hair with bangs, big round eyes and an open smile. Her hooded robe has wide flared sleeves, a round clasp at the neck and a belt with a buckle, and the long skirt flows all the way to her little shoes. Two round bushes and small tufts of grass sit by her feet. Purple or deep blue for the hat and robe, then bright pink and yellow for the hearts and stars, will make the magic stand out. Clear outlines and large shapes keep this free printable easy for younger kids, and the hair and sparkles give older ones something to chew on. Kids who like Witch coloring pages usually enjoy Ghost and Bat too.

- royal purple
- caramel brown
- peach skin
- deep plum
- soft lilac
- rose pink
- berry magenta
- golden yellow
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the long hair: fill the flowing hair on both sides and the bangs with caramel brown, leaving the face and neck open.
- 2Fill the face, neck, hands, and ears with peach skin, keeping the little highlight spots on the cheeks and nose white.
- 3Color the big witch dress, the pointed hat, and most of the hat brim with royal purple, then add deep plum to the hat tip and the darker edges of the brim.
- 4Add soft lilac to the wide sleeves, the hood edges, and the collar, then use rose pink for the hat band, the belt, and the large heart.
- 5Fill the buckle, the shoes, and the small hearts and stars with berry magenta and rose pink, then color the wand star, the brooch, and the other stars golden yellow.
- 6Optional: add a slightly darker purple along the folds of the dress and under the hat brim to make the shapes pop, and leave the outlined star at the right white.
