Hockey Stick Grump From the SuperZings Collection
Coloring guide
This scowling little cartoon character sits in the middle of the page, gripping a candy-striped hockey stick in one hand while the other hand is open to the side. The eyes are big and fierce under sharply slanted brows, and two round feet point toward us. A long curved stalk arcs up and over the head and ends in a big splash of liquid, with a few droplets flying off to the top right. No background is drawn, leaving lots of white space to fill. Red and white stripes on the stick and icy blue for the splash would stand out well. Print this free page for classroom time or a rainy day. Add this to your SuperZings coloring page collection, alongside Shoppies Dolls and Naruto.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- bright red
- sky blue
- brown
- golden yellow
- light beige
- charcoal gray
- coral red
- dark brown
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big water splash at the top and the blob in the middle: color them sky blue, leaving the small droplets and tiny swirls white.
- 2Fill the hood, head top, neck, torso, chest, and legs with bright red, working around the eye whites and leaving the gap at the bottom of the body white.
- 3Color the face cheek and lower face light beige, then fill the mouth mask and the small mark below the eyes with coral red.
- 4Paint both gloves, the left hand inner part, and the tape on the stick golden yellow, then fill the shoe soles and the stick handle with brown and dark brown.
- 5Use charcoal gray for the hockey stick blade and shaft, the middle stripes, and the sole under the foot. Optional: add a little darker shading under the arms and hood for depth.
