Hot Air Balloon Ride with Dora the Explorer and Boots
Coloring guide
Dora and her monkey friend Boots drift along together in a hot air balloon basket. Dora peeks over the rim with a big smile and her bob haircut, and a small fluffy bird perches on the edge beside her. Boots hangs off the outside of the basket, grinning, one arm stretched toward the bird and his tail curled up behind him. Long vertical stripes run down the tall balloon, and the woven basket is a patchwork of crisscross squares. Down on the ground nearby are a leafy plant and a little seashell. Rainbow colors on the balloon stripes and soft browns and tans on the basket would make a nice contrast. Print it free for a quick coloring break any time. Love this Dora the Explorer coloring page? - 2Fill the three long stripes on the balloon with amber orange and golden yellow, then color the rim band and the basket with caramel brown.
- 3Color Dora's hair dark brown and her face and hands peach, leaving the eye whites bright white.
- 4Add bubblegum pink to Dora's shirt and sleeve, soft purple to the backpack strap, and blush pink to Boots' face.
- 5Fill Boots' blue collar with light blue and his yellow shirt with pale yellow, then color his red shoes fire red.
- 6Finish with the green leaves and the small shell, and leave the background white. Optional: add a few darker lines in the basket for depth.
