How to Draw a Tennis Player Step by Step

Coloring guide
A cartoon tennis player is built up in six small steps, starting with just a smiling face and messy, spiky hair. Next come the torso and shorts, then a short-sleeved shirt with bent arms. The fourth step adds a tennis racket held low with both hands, as if for a backhand swing. The fifth step adds a ball floating near his head, a crosshatch string pattern on the racket, and his legs and feet. The last panel shows the finished figure in color, with brown hair, a light blue shirt, navy shorts, a dark blue wristband, red shoes and a yellow ball. Kids can follow one panel at a time and copy each stage. Then they can print the page and color their own version, perhaps swapping in a favorite team shirt color or a bright green ball. It also works well as a simple lesson on drawing people in motion.
