Hugging Boots: Dora the Explorer with Little Hearts
Coloring guide
Down on one knee, Dora wraps her arms around Boots the monkey in a big, happy hug, with five little hearts floating in the corners. She has her bob haircut with straight bangs, a short-sleeved shirt, cuffed shorts, ruffled socks and sturdy shoes. Her backpack is on, and a smiling Map peeks out of the side pocket. Boots grins wide with his eyes looking up, a tuft of hair sticking up and his long curly tail swooping out to the left. The lines are bold and clear, so this free printable is a good match for preschoolers and early elementary kids. Warm browns for Boots with bright red boots, and pink and purple hearts, give it a sweet friendship feel. This fits right in with our Dora the Explorer coloring pages — see also Sing (movie) and Demon Slayer.

- 2Color Dora's hair and the hair end with dark brown, leaving the eye whites and the little shine spots white.
- 3Fill Dora's shirt and sleeves with hot pink, then color her backpack with medium purple and its bottom and front in the same shade.
- 4Color Boots' face and belly with light pink and pale yellow, his tuft and head top with lavender, and his ears and inner ears with hot pink.
- 5Add the tail in lavender with a lemon yellow tip, the feet in bright red, and the map and its face in cream. Keep the monkey's eye whites white.
- 6Fill the hearts with cherry red, color the socks lemon yellow, and leave the shoe soles white. Optional: add a few darker strokes of brick red or dark brown on the edges for depth.
