This coloring page puts a cozy dugout corner front and center. A wooden bench holds two batting helmets, a catcher-style glove with laces, and a baseball cap with a curved brim. Three bats lean on the wall at the left, and behind them a rack with four empty hooks hangs on the wood-plank wall. A large water cooler with a spout and side handles sits on the right, a bucket full of baseballs is tucked under the bench, and slanted roof beams show overhead. Big shapes and bold lines suit younger kids, and the wood grain and stitching give older kids more to tackle. Warm browns look right on the bats and bench, and a bright orange cooler will pop. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the golden yellow on the bench top, front board, legs and the wooden hook rack, leaving the little gaps between planks white.
- 2Color the wall planks behind the bench and the back wall under it warm brown, and fill the roof panels and roof edge forest green.
- 3Paint the two helmets bright red, and color their dark ear flaps and the tips of the bats charcoal gray.
- 4Fill the water cooler with royal blue, keeping its lid and the white bands around it white, then color the side handles and base royal blue too.
- 5Color the catcher glove warm brown and the cap royal blue, keeping the cap brim white; use dark brown on the barrel of the left bat.
- 6Finish by coloring the bucket handle grip bright red and the bat grips slate gray. Keep the baseballs and bucket body white. Optional: add a little darker shade along the bottom of the bench for depth.
