Je Suis Charlie Tribute With Pencils and Patterns
Coloring guide
Large stencil-style letters spell out JE SUIS on top and CHARLIE below, surrounded by hand-drawn zentangle patterns. Two sharpened pencils sit near the words, one at the upper right and one at the left, each wrapped by curling ribbon shapes. Small hanging labels read LIBERTÉ, 07/01/2015 and L'EXPRESSION. A dotted ribbon winds through the middle, with scalloped swirls, flowing wavy lines with circles on the right, and a woven basket pattern in the bottom right corner with a curled page edge. The bottom left is filled with a repeating leafy tile design. For a classroom idea, older students could talk about freedom of expression and the date shown, then choose one pattern area for each color family. Try keeping the big letters light and saving darker shades for the woven section. A printable page like this suits teens and adults who like fine detail.
