Sea Turtle Swimming Left With Patterned Shell Plates

Coloring guide
A sea turtle swims to the left with its head lifted and tilted upward, one round eye looking out from a face covered in tiny squares, swirls and small shapes. The shell is split into large plates, and each plate has its own design. You can spot a scallop shell, a heart shape, a wave-like spiral, feather or leaf lines, zigzags and little diamonds. The front flipper in the foreground is packed with rounded stones and spirals, and the back flipper stretches out to the left with a long curving stripe and dotted edges. Try coloring each shell plate in a different color family, then keep the flippers softer so the shell patterns stand out. It also works well as a free printable for a quiet art session, since kids can pick fine tip markers for the small areas and chunky crayons for the bigger shapes. Older kids and adults will enjoy the slow, detailed work.
