Kite Flying on the Cliff Top, Steven Universe Printable
Coloring guide
Racing across a grassy cliff top, a cheerful curly-haired child in a short tunic and flowing cape holds one arm high, gripping the string of a big star-shaped kite with ribbon tails. The child is grinning with an open mouth, and the cape streams out behind in the wind. Grass tufts, little daisy-like flowers and a rocky cliff edge surround them, with ocean waves far below on the right. Puffy clouds and three seagulls fill the sky, which leaves lots of open space for blending. It's a good one for kids who like action scenes. A bright yellow kite with rainbow ribbons looks great against a soft blue sky, and a bold red or purple cape adds contrast. Crayons, markers or colored pencils all work well. Looking for more? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the clouds at the top left, on the right, in the middle and on the left edge with light sky blue, leaving the sky background white.
- 2Fill the ocean water at the bottom right with bright blue, then color the boy's dress the same bright blue.
- 3Color the kite star and its center with golden yellow, and use bright red for the long ribbon tails hanging from it.
- 4Use skin peach for the boy's face, arms and legs, and dark brown for his curly hair, keeping the eye whites and the birds white.
- 5Color the red cape, its collar and both shoes in bright red, leaving the shoe soles white, then fill the cliff rock and cliff base with tan brown and the small rock in the water with warm gray.
- 6Use olive green and grass green for the grass on the cliff and the bottom corners. Optional: add a little darker shading in the hair and cape to make them pop.
