Kite Runner Anime Style Boy on a Grassy Hill
Coloring guide
A spiky-haired boy with big sparkling eyes and a wide, happy smile dashes across a grassy hill, holding up the string of a diamond-shaped kite. One arm is bent at his side, and he's wearing a short-sleeved t-shirt, shorts and chunky sneakers. Up in the right corner, the kite floats with its crisscross frame and a tail of little bows and a ribbon. Three puffy clouds drift across the sky, and tufts of grass dot the hill under his feet. Younger kids can fill in the big shapes of the shirt, shorts and shoes, while older kids can take on the spiky hair and the kite tail. A bright red or sunny yellow kite stands out well against a sky-blue background. Print it free whenever your stack needs a new page. A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- chestnut brown
- pale sky blue
- bright blue
- peach skin
- bright red
- leaf green
- light gray
- soft pink
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the sky clouds: color the top-left cloud, the right cloud and the small left cloud in pale sky blue, leaving the outlines crisp.
- 2Fill the boy's spiky hair and fringe with chestnut brown, then add peach skin to his face, ears, arms, hand and lower legs.
- 3Color the t-shirt and the shoes in bright blue, leaving the white collar, sock tops and shoe trims white.
- 4Paint the shorts in bright red, keeping the white hem trims along the bottom and sides unpainted.
- 5Use leaf green for the grass tufts and the right half of the kite, and bright blue for the left half, leaving the kite's white gaps and bow tails white or red as you like.
- 6Optional: Add a soft pink mouth, and leave the eye whites and background paper white. Finish the light gray shoe soles last for a clean look.
