Kitten and Ghost on a Big Pumpkin

Coloring guide
On top of a large ribbed pumpkin sits a smiling little ghost with big round eyes and a wavy, scalloped bottom edge. Beside it, a friendly kitten sits upright with a curly tail, whiskers and a tiny heart-shaped nose. A big round full moon rises behind them, and four small stars dot the corners of the page. Thick, clean outlines and large open spaces suit preschoolers and early elementary kids still building crayon control. A soft yellow moon and bright orange pumpkin would look nice, and black or gray fur on the kitten will stand out against the pale ghost. This free printable is a gentle, not-scary pick for a Halloween classroom or a quiet afternoon at home. If you enjoyed this Ghost page, don't miss our Witch and Elf coloring pages.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- tangerine orange
- golden yellow
- charcoal gray
- soft pink
- coral red
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big pumpkin: fill every segment, from the left edge to the bottom right, with tangerine orange.
- 2Color the full moon and all four stars golden yellow, leaving the background around them white.
- 3Fill the cat's body and tail charcoal gray, keeping the small highlight on its cheek white.
- 4Color the inside of both cat ears soft pink, and fill the ghost's open smiling mouth coral red.
- 5Keep the ghost body and its eye whites white so the ghost really pops against the moon.
- 6Optional: add light diagonal strokes in a slightly darker shade of each color to give the pumpkin and moon some texture.
