Sitting on a pile of leaves, a striped kitten stretches one front paw up to swat at maple leaves drifting down from a big oak tree. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big tree trunk and branches in tree brown, leaving the small bark spots and the swirl knot as they are.
- 2Fill the kitten's head, body, and raised paw in soft orange, keeping the white chest, the paw pads, and the tail tip white.
- 3Color the tree leaves at the top and the falling leaves in bright orange, golden yellow, and sunny yellow for a warm autumn mix.
- 4Paint the pumpkin in bright orange and the mushroom caps in fiery red, leaving the white spots on the caps uncolored.
- 5Add the grass, bushes, and fence in moss green and lime green, then fill the fallen leaves on the ground with sunny yellow and fiery red.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading in the tree brown and soft orange areas to give the fur and bark more depth.
