Sitting upright with its front paws together, this sweet kitten has a huge pointed witch hat that flops over at the top. The hat has a wide brim and a big square buckle on the band, and it fits snugly between two pointed ears. Look closely at the face: large round sparkly eyes with little lashes, a tiny nose, a happy open smile and whiskers on both cheeks. There's a fluffy tuft of fur on the chest, and the long tail curls into a spiral on the right. With no background, young artists can focus on the character. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the cat's face, body, tail and both haunches with tangerine orange, leaving the eye shines and the small nose white.
- 2Color the tall witch hat crown and the wide brim with deep purple.
- 3Use burnt orange for the two hat band sections, then fill the buckle frame with golden yellow and its center with dark plum.
- 4Color both front paws with cream, leaving the outlines dark and the toe lines clear.
- 5Add soft pink to the inner ears and the open mouth tongue, then use salmon pink on the inner edge of the right ear.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker orange along the belly and under the tail for a bit of depth, and keep the eye shines white to make the eyes sparkle.
