Kitten Peeking Out of a Starry Hot Air Balloon Basket
Coloring guide
A happy kitten looks over the edge of a woven hot air balloon basket, both little paws on the rim and a big open-mouthed smile on its face. Above it, the balloon is made of wide panels and horizontal stripes, with six stars on the balloon and one more on the basket. A few puffy clouds float on each side, and a bigger scalloped cloud bank curves along the bottom of the page. Tiny stripes on the forehead, round sparkly eyes, and long whiskers give small hands fun details to color. Thick, clean outlines and roomy star shapes make this free printable easy for preschoolers and early elementary kids. An orange kitten with darker stripes looks cute, and yellow stars will stand out against a red and blue balloon. More like this: explore the Balloon, For Girls and For Kids coloring page collections.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the side panels of the balloon and the big sky-blue areas with sky blue, leaving the white gaps between the stripes.
- 2Fill the center panel of the balloon and all the stars with sunny yellow, keeping the stars' outlines clean.
- 3Add bright red stripes across the balloon and the top cap, then leaf green stripes on the lower side panels.
- 4Color the basket rim with sunny yellow and the basket bands with tangerine orange, using warm brown for the two ropes and a star on the basket.
- 5Color the kitten's head and cheeks with warm amber, its forehead stripes tangerine orange, and the inner ears soft pink. Keep the eye whites, paws and the gaps inside the basket white. Optional: use a slightly darker shade on the edges of the balloon for depth.
