Kitten Peeking Out of Jack-o'-Lantern With Candy

A happy kitten pops out of a carved pumpkin with its front paws resting on the rim, wearing the pumpkin lid like a floppy hat. Its eyes are squeezed shut in a big grin. A striped cat sits with its back to us, tail curled along the ground, looking up at the pumpkin. The jack-o'-lantern has round eyes, a triangle nose and a zigzag smile, with leaves and a curly vine around the base. Two wrapped candies and a lollipop lie in the grass. Above them, a big cratered moon sits behind a small cloud, and three bats fly nearby. Try coloring the moon in pale grays and yellows, then use deep orange for the pumpkin so the kittens and candy stand out. The page also works well for talking about shapes, since you can spot circles, triangles and zigzags. It's a free printable that suits a range of ages.
